Our History
In 2016 at the recommendation of Mayor John E. McCormac, Jane McLaughlin, then owner of the European School of Dance, spearheaded the creation of the Fords Business Community (FBC). With help from then, 2nd ward Councilman Rick Dalina, & long time Fords businessman Keith Smith, Jane pounded the pavement up & down New Brunswick Avenue recruiting members, and so, the journey began. The FBC was incorporated as a non-profit in August of 2016 to promote the Fords, Hopelawn and Keasbey businesses. The FBC was one of three communities created throughout Woodbridge Township to support the different "Main Streets", downtowns and vibrant businesses of the multiple
towns making up Woodbridge Township.
The goal of each Business Community was the same, to connect local businesses with the community through various events, while encouraging the businesses to support each other. Thanks to the strong foundation we built in the early years, The Fords Business Community was able to ride out the pandemic while others were not. Eight years later our events are all tremendously successful and we are working on strategies to rebuild membership. We are growing, so, grow with us. With ideas for even more events in the future the FBC isn't going anywhere. We are here to stay...So, Stay Tuned

The Executive Board would like to thank the Township of Woodbridge for their continued support with the road closures, etc. And a special thanks to our great Councilman Howie Bauer, who's always there when we need him.
